Styling Your Shape
While it might different to what you would expect, looking good is working with your body and selecting clothes that work to flatter your body. There is a wide variety of clothes, styles, cuts, patterns, weave, print and colors. There is no need to accept a poor fitting garment or style that does not match how you want to look.
The focus is on knowing how your body is and if you would like to make adjustment, to chose a style that suits you. In other words your shape is you, but your style can be a choice, your body dressed as it is or dressed as you might like.
You selection can vary, change, adapt, evolve with you as you change shade, scale, height, proportion or body shape.
When it comes to looking good, it’s not your size or shape that matters, it’s the fit of your clothes.
Wearing the right clothes is about choosing what actually suits you and what makes you feel comfortable and confident. This can be achieved based on your own fashion, retro fashion or current trends.
KNOW THY SHAPE
Knowing your shape leads to understanding the types of clothes that will help you show the shape you want. This will reduce the time spent looking for the right clothing and give you confidence that you have purchased the right look and can carry that look.
You can revive that old outfit and make an adjustment to make you feel more comfortable. You can also make adjustments to your wardrobe through the right accessories that help with the styling rather than just be a belt or a scarf.
The right styling help you find something to complement your body shape, scale, proportions, colouring, personality and life style.
Once you know which styles look best on you, you know what clothes to look for. It is a human condition to look for symmetry or balance. The purpose of choosing clothes aim is to create balance.
KNOW THY SHAPE (TOO WELL)
Many people focus on problems that can’t be changed (too short, too tall, bottom, thighs). This over awareness and over focus, distracts us from a holistic view our body and how to be comfortable with who we are. By seeing yourself as a whole you can define your body shape rather than be captured by your concern or insecurity.
Standing in the mirror is the worst way to work out your body shape. It will only your draw into the areas of concern and the worst fears driven by comments from other people or your observation of others.
The best way is through the app so that you have a clear understanding of where your need to focus your attention, your outfits and accessories.

Once you can appreciate how your shape works, the choice is yours on how to dress for your shape. You can dress for your shape or look to the recommendations from the app to make adjustments to your wardrobe and/or your accessories. Once you have transformed your basic complement of outfits and how you wear them, you’ll be able to pick your outfits and be ready to go. You will also be able to select items when shopping that enhance your chosen look.
As we age our shape can change, so we need to change the use of our accessories and in some cases the clothes we wear.
